The following guides may assist you if you are looking for information on developmental milestones and when to explore supports for your child.  In all instances, if you have questions or concerns, you are encouraged to raise these with your medical practitioner or local community supports, such as Ontario Early Years Centre, child care or school personnel.

The Nipissing District Development Screen is a developmental screening tool for infants and children up to 6 years of age, to be completed by a parent or health/child care professional.

Sensory Checklist
The Sensory Checklist is accessed from the book “Raising a Sensory Smart Child” by Lindsey Biel and Nancy K. Peske.  As written, “Children with Sensory Integration (SI) Dysfunction - a condition that does not allow the body to properly process sensations - often display delayed motor, speech, and social skills.”
