Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder

The Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Durham committee is comprised of service providers from education, health and social services with an interest in improving Durham Region's response to this disability.

Committee members are committed to educating about FASD through:

  • The distribution of materials.
  • The coordination of conferences.
  • Maintaining a roster of speakers who can present an introduction to FASD.
  • Providing support to the FASD Parent Group.

In 2008, with funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, members of the FASD Durham Committee created the document "Strategies for Assisting Individuals with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder". To download click here.
